Charles "Chuck" Floyd Wetherbee

Charles “Chuck” Floyd Wetherbee, 73, passed away on April 26, 2023, in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was born on July 1, 1949, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of William and Nora (Swartz) Wetherbee.

On May 13, 1972, Chuck married the love of his life, Patsy “Patty” Pierce, they shared over fifty wonderful years of marriage together.

Chuck was a Greenskeeper for over twenty years at the Ashtabula Country Club and the Harbor Golf Club.

He was a proud member of AA for thirty-four years. He enjoyed talking on his CB radio, playing cards especially spades, golfing, ATV riding, going to Concert’s in the Park and family picnics where he loved to eat his “sweets”.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patty Wetherbee, his beloved children, Cheri (Robert) Caplinger and William Wetherbee; his grandchildren: Christi Caplinger, R.J. Caplinger, Patty Wetherbee and William Wetherbee, Jr.; his great-granddaughter, Rayanna Caplinger and his mother-in-law, Mary Pierce.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy Platz and all of his siblings: Harrison, Ed, Billy, Ralph, Johnny, Carl, Larry, Pauline, Margie, Marion and Mable.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 11:00a-12:00p with a funeral service to follow at 12:00p at the Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Road in Ashtabula.
