Catherine Marie Lewis, 78, passed away on March 3, 2022, in Geneva, Ohio.
Catherine was born on February 4, 1944, in Erie, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Wilfred and Margaret (Sperry) Johnson.
Catherine worked at MFG in Ashtabula for eleven years before she found her true calling. Catherine touched so many lives whether it be baking cookies or her delicious pumpkin rolls for the holidays, taking care of children as if they were her own or helping to take care of someone else’s home, she was always giving of herself and thinking of others first. To many she was known as the “The Cookie Lady” and her delicious baked goods will be sorely missed by many.
She also enjoyed cooking, word puzzles and reading.
Catherine is survived by her loving children: Bryan (Carol) Lewis, Pamela J. (Bill) Moyer-Delbrugge, Leah (Mac) Foster, Steven A. Lewis and Randi M. (Kacee) Lewis, her brothers, Robert and Fred Johnson, nineteen grandchildren, thirty greatgrandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Margaret Johnson, her siblings: Thomas Johnson, Bernice Mantch, Helen Finney and Ronald Johnson and her former husband and father of her children, A. Lee Lewis.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 2:00p-3:00p with a Celebration of Life starting at 3:00p at the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, 55 East Satin Street, Jefferson, Ohio. Pastor Curtis Cecil will be officiating the services. A dinner will immediately follow the Celebration of Life.
