ASHTABULA - Carole Marie (Perry) Peet, 84, passed away on May 8, 2022, at her home in Ashtabula, Ohio. Carole was born on April 15, 1938, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Laveck) Perry. Carole was a life-long resident of Ashtabula and graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1956. She was employed by A. Louis Supply where she worked until she started her family. On April 30, 1960, she married Averill Peet in Mother of Sorrows Church, and was his loving and devoted wife for 47 years before his passing in 2008. Carole had a great sense of humor, and she loved being around people who loved to laugh as much as she did; she enjoyed hearing a joke and laughing with family and friends. Carol never let her blindness hold her back, and because of the love and support she received from her children, grandchildren, siblings and nieces and nephews she saw the most beautiful world through their eyes. The music of Frank Sinatra might have helped a little too; she really may have been his biggest lifelong fan. At the end of the day Carole really only needed one thing...and that was her family that she absolutely loved and cherished. She is survived by her loving children: Amy Jo Peet, Susan Peet, Ava (Steve) Chaney, Buddy (Amy) Peet and Jay (Kim Rienerth) Peet, her siblings: Gene Perry, Joe (Lynda) Perry and Frank (Diana) Perry, her grandchildren: John, Alex, Sam, Katie, Caroline, Phoebe and Nina and her great-grand daughter, Nicolina Peet. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Averill Peet, her brother, Walter Perry, her sister, Theresa Dellerba and sister-in-law, Teresa "Babe" Perry. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at Mother-of-Sorrows Church, 1464 W. 6th Street, Ashtabula. Calling hours will be held from 1:00-3:00 at the church followed by service at 3:00. Entombment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial contributions can be made to the family, envelopes will be available at the church.
