Barbara Louise Thompson-Hatfield

Barbara Louise Thompson-Hatfield, 63, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center in Ashtabula, Ohio.

She was born on April 9, 1960, in Miami, Florida, the daughter of Daniel and Dorothy (Crumley) Thompson, Sr.

Barbara graduated from Harbor High School in 1979. Most recently she worked as a cashier at Circle K for eleven years.

Barbara found passion and joy in being “Granny” to her wonderful grandchildren.  She was known for her red hair, she had an infectious laugh and she was an amazing singer. She enjoyed going to yard sales and taking Sunday drives.

She is survived by her beloved son, Christopher Camplese; her grandchildren: Joseph Austin, Sean Wyatt, Izabellah Rose-Marie and Ricki Louise; her siblings: Darlene (Francis) Deak, Kenneth (Julie) Thompson and Tammy Thompson and her best friends, Ann Kenyun, Elizabeth Yoney of 40 years and Wanda Moore of WV best friends for 50 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Teresa Thompson and Danny Thompson, Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 5:00p-7:00p with a funeral service to immediately follow at 7:00p at Czup Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.
