H. Annie Divell-Steele

CONNEAUT – Annie Divell-Steele, 77, passed away August 2, 2019 following a long battle with COPD.

She was born in Saegertown, PA. on January 14, 1942 the daughter of Leon and Evelyn (Reichart) Saures.

Annie was a 1959 graduate of Cambridge Springs Joint High School.

Annie had two very large families.  Her biological family: 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren and 5 her siblings; and that family was her world.  But, Annie also dedicated a huge portion of her life to her “AA Family”.  She was a lifetime member of the ALCANON Club of Erie, PA.  She very proudly has celebrated 47 years of sobriety and along the way has sponsored or helped over 1000 individuals who have struggled with sobriety.  She even opened up “Serenity Ranch” in part of her own home.  Where she opened her door to those in need without question.  She had the largest and most loving heart and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her mother Evelyn Merritt; her children: Darlene A. Kitelinger, Lori L. (Tony) Lazar, Brenda L. Thomlinson, Lisa A. (Randy) Wieczorek and Tammie L. McClelland, 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings Mary Alice Miller, Rhonda Walters, Sue (Bill) Hodges, Larry (Rose) Merritt and Pat Gossett.

She was preceded in death by her father Leon and step-mother Magaret and her brother-in-law Freddie Gossett.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday August 17th  starting at 1:00 p.m. at her very own “Serenity Ranch”, 508 MILL ROAD, Conneaut, Ohio 44030.  Memorial contributions can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses and to help keeping “Serenity Ranch” going strong
